VIII RIVIERA D'ABRUZZO HALF-MARATHON

SUNDAY, 11TH MAY 2008 GIULIANOVA (TE) 09.00 O’CLOCK

 

INTERNATIONAL HALF MARATHON Km. 21 ,097 ( 13,1 miles )

REGULATIONS:

1- The “Società  Sportiva Dilettantistica a r.l RUNNERS ADRIATICO”, under the aegis of F.I.D.A.L. (Italian Athletics Federation) and in cooperation with U.I.S.P. , the Community of Giulianova, the Province of Teramo and the "Regione Abruzzo", organizes the eighth edition of the "Riviera d'Abruzzo Half-Marathon". The race is included in the official F.I.D.A.L. fixture list, and will be disputed in the Community of Giulianova on May 11th, 2008 . Pre-race meeting at 7:30 am same day at the new HOLIDAY RESORT located in Giulianova. Start time is 9:00 am.

 

2- The race is open to all F.I.D.A.L. and U.I.S.P. members (Italy), both Pro and Amateurs/Masters, up to date with subscription in 2008. Members of other Sports associations - recognized by the Italian Olympic Committee - may participate, as well. A medical certificate stating fitness for competitive activities is mandatory. Athletes MUST be 18 years or older on race day, May 11th, 2008, to register

 

Course is flat; All participants must begin the Race during the Official Start and complete Course within 180 minutes of the Office Start Time. Subscriptions will be closed as of Tuesday 6^th of May, at 8:00 pm

 Registration fee: € 12 + € 5 chip deposit (to be reimbursed upon chip return).

“Correndo o passeggiando sul lungomare” (“Jogging and strolling along the promenade”) km.10:    Subscription fee:   €  3 Only the number of participants must be given. Subscriptions open until race day and availability of race numbers – until  8.30 am at  Holiday Tourist Resort .

Packet Pick-Up will take place as of Saturday 10^th of May, 2008 from 04:00 pm through 09:00 pm, and Sunday 11^th of May , 2008 until 08:30 am at the booth situated by the HOLIDAY RESORT (Start and Finish Line).

 

4- Complaints can be filed (in writing) within 30 mitutes after Race's End to the First Referee. A deposit of € 16,00 is required. Such a deposit will be paid back, if the complaint is accepted.

 

5- Organizing Team reserves the right to make any change in the event of force majeure.

 

6- With Subscription, Athletes claim to know the present regulation as a whole, and - in particular - as to point nr. 2 ("A medical certificate stating fitness for competitive activities..."). The Race is subject to the safety measures enacted by the competent Authorities.

 

7- The management accepts no responsibility, for damages to individuals or personal belongings occurring before, during or after the Race.

 

8- Subscribing to the Riviera d'Abruzzo Half-Marathon Athletes authorize explicitly the Organizing Team, their Media Partner, their Sponsors and other Bodies involved to access Image, Performing and any kind of Rights. Specifically, Athletes Images - taken during the Race or in the immediate days before and after it- (still or in motion) can be displayd on all kind of material and support (advertising leaflets, commercials, and so on), worldwide for all the time (including extensions) foreseen by the Laws, Treatys and Agreements in force.

 

Prize Money

 Km. 21,097 Race

     

Male athletes breaking the race record (1:02’:08’’) will win a special prize of € 300

Female athletes breaking the race record (1:16’:53’’) will win a special prize of € 100

 

Prize money will be paid beforetax, within 15 days from Race end. Athletes will have to show an Identification Card.

Furthermore the top 6 ranking of each Male Master Category and top 3 ranking of each Female category will be awarded in kind.                                                                                         

 Trophy awarded by the Community of Giulianova to the youngest and oldest athlete.

Female Master Categories

Non competitive race 10 km

Top 20 Men and Top 20 Women will be awarded..

Pick-Up available for all participants.

 

Mini-race for kids; prize in kind for everyone.
